Why Multi-Trial Architecture. The wuxia hero's path is a sequence of discrete, escalating trials β origin and training, entry into the martial world, the gathering of allies, the confrontation with a great adversary, the trials of growth, the ultimate confrontation, and the establishing of legacy. Each trial tests and grows the hero's martial mastery and character; the accumulation drives toward mastery, the defeat of the great adversary, and legacy. Mastery is earned, not given β forged through the accumulation of trials in the jianghu.
